University College London
My main research fields are development economics, labour economics, and applied microeconomics.
My research focuses on the interaction between the public sector and the wider labour market and the personnel economics of public-sector organisations.
My job market paper studies how public-sector hiring policies determine the returns to education, education choices, and productivity in both the private sector and public sector.
I was an Overseas Development Institute Fellow at the Ministry of Education, Ethiopia, and continue to work with the Government of Ethiopia and the World Bank on public-sector governance and civil-service reform.
I will be available for interviews at the ASSA 2019 Meeting in Atlanta, the European Job Market in Naples, and the RES PhD Meeting in London.
Please see my research page and CV for further details.
